About the Snakes & Reptiles Rescue and Relocate Team

Piet and Wouter Wassenaar are both registered with the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency to catch and convey problem snakes. Piet has been active with handling snakes for the past 21-years, and has been a registered member of the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency for the past 4 years. Wouter is a registered permit holder for 4 years with many more years experience in the field.

Tortoises
Scorpions
Frogs / Bullfrogs (endangered)
Hedgehogs
Owls
Snakes (all kinds)

In 2017 we have joined forces with SACCW Witbank as Snakes & Reptiles Rescue and Relocate.

Why did we join?
To ensure the safety and well being of wildlife and the community interaction with these animals.
